Never Let Me Go: One Book Essay Contest


Express yourself & share your story...tell us why we should Never Let YOU Go!

How?
Read "Never Let Me Go" and then submit an original essay (see options below) by August 4, 2008. Essays must be between 850-1200 words and 100% original work by the student (outside sources or reference used in the essay must be cited).

Submission Options:
1. Electonically from a student's FSU Email Account as an email attachment (MSWord) to Office of New Student & Family Programs (orientation@admin.fsu.edu). Please type "One Book Essay Contest" in the message line and remember to sign your email with full name.

2. As a paper copy, accompanied by an electronic version saved to a clearly labeled disk, mailed with contact information, to New Student & Family Programs, Attn: One Book Essay Contest, A4320 University Center, Tallahassee, FL, 32306-2443.


Prizes:
"Best Relation of Book's Themes to Personal Experience"

Sponsored by International Programs. The winner of this essay prize will recieve an airfare scholoarship to be used towards studying abroad with International Programs; $1,000 if the student attends either a fall or spring semester or $500 if s/he attends a summer program.

"Best Relation of Book's Themes to Social/Global Issues"

Sponsored by the FSU Bookstore. The winner of this essay prize will recieve a $500 book scholarship awarded over fall 08 and spring 09 semesters, up to $250 each semester.

Eligibility: Student must be a new first-year (freshmen) student who entered FSU during the summer or fall 2008 semester.

Entries must be received by August 4, 2008 to be considered. All submissions become property of Florida State University and may be reproduced, in full or partial, through electronic and printed media with notification to the student.
